Due to the fact that newer firmware versions are released quite often, you need to be able to download the latest version of the firmware for your device. For the TG582n, it requires a double bootloader, with a first bootloader running OpenWrt and a second bootloader running the latest firmware. Please note that the double bootloader is only possible if you have an updated OpenWrt version. Otherwise, the only way to update the firmware is to flash the latest firmware directly on the router.
